What is an On-Grid Solar System?
An on-grid (grid-tied) solar system is connected directly to your electricity provider's network. During the day, your solar panels generate power that is used to run your appliances. Any surplus power is exported back to the grid, earning you credits on your WAPDA/DISCO bill — this is called Net Metering.
At night or on cloudy days, the grid supplies your power as normal. The net metering arrangement means your total bill is calculated on the net consumption — what you used minus what you exported.
